Coach and Umpire of the Month for May 2022
All of us at Baseball Manitoba would like to congratulate the following two individuals for being selected as the Baseball Manitoba - Winnipeg Goldeyes Coach and Umpire of the Month for May.
Coach of the Month: Kelly Hruska

Kelly has over 15 years of coaching experience in St. James.
"Kelly always shows up as one of the first coaches willing to do batting practice and is well known as the first base coach for the athletes." said his nominator.
He has coached since 2007, and won Cities in 2013 and 13U Provincials in 2015 with the St. James As, along with winning many tournaments and exhibition games.

Umpire of the Month: Corsen Downey

Corsen has begun umpiring this year with Melita Minor Ball.
"Corsen took his umpire certification this spring. He is an eager young umpire who does a great job behind the plate. Our town has very few certified umpires and Corsen has committed to making sure our team can have a certified ump at every home game." said his nominator.
Thank you for being an umpire Corsen! We wouldn't be able to play the sport we love without officials like you!
