Baseball Manitoba would like to congratulate Trent Lepine on winning the Winnipeg Goldeyes Umpire of the Month for May 2018. Lepine has over 20 years of experience umpiring baseball in Canada.
"He is one of the most well-known and well-liked umpires in the baseball and softball communities," said his nominator.
"Lepine started his softball umpiring journey at age 17 when he was introduced to the umpiring family by Kevin Lelievre. He went on to become a baseball umpire by age 19. He has had the opportunity to umpire over 15 Provincial Championships in his career and has attended several baseball clinics. He has been a certified Level 4 umpire for the past 5 years. Lepine also umpired over 10 Western Championships, 2 National Championships for Bantam AAA and Peewee AAA. He takes pride in being an umpire, is well respected by his peers in the baseball community, and has sacrificed a lot time with his young family and friends to excel in his umpiring career."
