Coach of the Month for May 2019

Baseball Manitoba would like to congratulate Darryl Hapa on winning the Winnipeg Goldeyes Coach of the Month for May 2019. Hapa coached for the 11U Sioux Valley team in 2017.

“Hapa dedicates his time to picking many players up in the Sioux Valley bus and drives them all into Brandon at a minimum twice a week so that they can play and practice. He also single-handedly started an organization in his community. Hapa has also gone above and beyond in getting all of his coaching certifications in a timely manner. Additionally he has taken on the 50/50 duties for the Brandon Minor Baseball Association (BMBA) and will be bringing in his crew to generate funds for his team,” said his nominator. 

Hapa’s team, the 11U Sioux Valley, has been to all events and competitions so far this season.

Congratulations again to the very deserving Coach Darryl Hapa.
