Sport Manitoba held a press conference for the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games on Wednesday at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre.
Jeff Hnatiuk, Sport Manitoba's President & Chief Executive Officer, congratulated the selected athletes and wished them the best of luck.
Five Team Manitoba athletes unveiled the new Team Manitoba uniforms, one of which included Trent Crane. Crane is from Morden, Manitoba, and excels at multiple sports. He previously played for the Bantam AAA Pembina Valley Hawks, and was signed by the Victoria Royals of the WHL in 2018.

Swimmer Quinlan Roberts was announced as the flag bearer. Roberts is from La Salle, Manitoba. She participated in the 2014 Special Olympics National Summer Games in Vancouver, BC, and took home multiple medals from the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games in Fort McMurray, AB, the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, MB, and the 2018 Special Olympics National Summer games in Antigonish, N.S.
