Kevin Crouch, 2010 Baseball Manitoba Larry Nicholls Umpire Award of Merit Winner.
Kevin was a dedicated member of the Baseball Manitoba community for over 40 years.
"It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kevin Crouch at the age of 68.
Kevin is a long time figure of the baseball community serving as the Fort Garry community club's first convener for the Winnipeg South Minor Baseball Association upon the league's establishment in 1982. He would later serve as WSMBA President and Umpire in Chief.
Kevin eventually moved into the Red River Valley Baseball region where he would retire from the game in the summer of 2021. In 2022 RRVB created the Kevin Crouch Junior Umpire of the Year Award in his honour to be presented annually to the region's top level one umpire.
Other accolades include being recognized with Baseball Manitoba's Umpire Award of Merit in 2010." said Baseball Manitoba's Umpire Committee
Kevin's passing affects many people across the province, and all of us at Baseball Manitoba send our deepest condolences to the Crouch family and his entire community at this time.
A celebration in honour of Kevin's life will take place at a later date.
