All of us at Baseball Manitoba would like to welcome Roger Langlais and all of his experience to our Executive Committee.
“It was with nervous excitement that I put my name forward, I don’t take being elected as President lightly. I see this position as a lot of work and I have big shoes to fill. Kudos to Tony and all his roles with Baseball Manitoba and serving as the President for the last eight years. I look forward to working with the Management Committee, Executive Director Jason Miller, the supporting staff, and all community members. We’re all in this together and I’m looking to grow baseball not only in our participation numbers but in the quality of programs. Again, thank you and I look forward to working with you all and serving as President,” said Roger.
Roger has been an active member on Baseball Manitoba standing committees including the Sport Development and the Competition Committee and is currently chairing the Girls Committee. He has coached at all levels of baseball including A and AAA and coached multiple age levels including 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U. He has been an Assistant Coach during Baseball Manitoba Provincial events, and Co-chaired the 2022 Senior Women’s Nationals in Stonewall and Chaired the 2022 14U Girls Westerns in Winnipeg.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Roger, he brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience in community sport and recreation development. He has shown great leadership skills on various committees within baseball and consistently provides successful outcomes. His ability to connect with people, attention to detail and calculated approach lend well to the growth of baseball as we move forward with a new Strategic Plan,” said Jason Miller, Baseball Manitoba Executive Director.
